Sweden is Back!

"I remember when Ace of Base came out. I was in my early twenties and I thought to myself: This is the group that is being hailed as the new ABBA. My God!!! It was a travesty to say the least. Stonebridge, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. Living in America, it is a disappointment to have to listen to Rap, Rock, and Country because they are the only genres Americans listen to. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of living in Europe for three years, and being a fan of House and Techno, had the increased pleasure of experiencing it's multi-faceted hues of beats, synths, and pads as well as real instruments in several different clubs around the continent. "Can't Get Enough" is that hue. It is a brilliant collection of the most modern (I dare say post-modern) House on the planet. The collection of singers are impressive and extremely talented. I am especially drawn to the first track, which is the name of the album itself. It is a cool blend of Ibiza's chilled Lounge of Cafe del Mar and Tech House at its best. If you think "Put 'em High" is good by itself, then you should run, not walk, to the CD store and get the single. Of course, nothing in this world goes umblemished. Again, as an American, I have had the displeasure to have to listen to Rap. Although I know that Rap has become a force in Europe, which no European could ever understand it's meaning (sorry!), I was disappointed that Stonebridge had to have at least one track on the album from the Rap genre. It was mediocre at best, and it will only ever reach the ears of Europeans and not the African Americans of the U.S. Sorry, Stonebridge, but you should have left this track off. Other than that, I found the album to be superior to that of any DJ I know except BT."
Simply Fun and Good Music from the UK! (3.7 out of 5 Stars)

"If there is a BIG difference between the U.S. and the U.K. when it comes to music, it can be summed up in the following sentence: The UK just likes good fun pop music, hence the case with Stonebridge

I first heard of them (its actually ONE person i think) with the song "Put 'Em High" (which was and still is a great song people dance to in the Middle East, even in Bahrain where i just got back from) with Therese on vocals.

I cant imagine anyone else better to sing this song and to get the crowd going dancing guilt free. Therese follows that up with the instantly catchy tune "Take Me Away", while Ultra Nate (yes, THAT Ultra Nate that sang FREE a few years backs) spices it up with the sexy track "Freak On" in which can get people in a guilty free good mood. Other Tracks like "Put A Little Love" just have that pop charm that people can love.

So give this one a open ears listen and learn to love the UK for their taste in music. A vast majority of it will make you feel great!
