Extremely rockin

"Blues legend Steve Pryor really hit the nail on the head with this one. Slammin album - great guitar playing throughout - lots of variety. Personal highlights are the slow blues - "If I Don't Get Well No More" and the Hawiian-sounding "Marielito". Pick this one up"
A great CD from a brilliant, versatile guitarplayer !

"Although all of Tulsa guitar legend Steve Pryor's releases are worthwhile; this CD offers more varied musical experiences:
Original songs which are sometimes furiously intense, sometimes unusual or intriguing... often subtle or obscure in their emotional and tonal shading... sometimes dry or austere...
Powerful, masterfully played versions of Blues classics which are soulful and satisfying...
Rockers which kick like a mule...
Guitar passages which are downright beautiful (the great cover of Bob Dylan's "It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry", "Marielito" )....
Pryor's playing is always authoritative and compelling; and often soulful and charismatic. The man is a veritable Blues & Rock powerhouse; and is conversant with some Jazz and Country styles as well. One senses he has the potential to create a genuine masterpiece if he harnesses his many strengths in one setting.
In the meantime, this is a hot CD-- Buy it before it burns a hole through the Amazon warehouse floor!PS: See this guy live if you get the chance-- if you catch him on a good night he'll blow the roof off the house !!"
