Steve Grimmett rose from the ranks of the NWOBHM movement during the early 80s. At that time he established himself as the voice of "Grim Reaper" and "Onslaught". During the late 80s he put together a new glam metal outfit "Lionsheart" which is considered to be his most commercially successful attempt particularly in Japan.
2007 sees the release of his first solo album "Personal Crisis" which in a way follows up to 2004's "Lionsheart- Abyss" record. If you enjoyed the latest mentioned release then this one is expected to please you even more. Once again Steve Grimmett comes up with heavy riffs, big choruses and clever guitar/bass melodies. Yet the brilliance of this album lies in the fact that Steve pushes his creative boarders even further by adding guest female vocal appearances, more sophisticated rhythm section and even more technical guitar playing. So although as heavy as his previous highlights, this release is the most colorful and multidimensional work of Steve to date.
"Power Play" magazine (issue 94) marks this album with 8/10 commenting "A total triumph"
