"If you like great obscure 80's music, then you simply MUST add this CD to your collection! This album and the one previous (The Ups and Downs) are an 80's staple that even rank high among todays standards. In good fashion, Duffy's songwriting on this release combines poetry, catchy dance beats and melodic sentiment that makes "Because We Love You" a timeless beauty!
My only gripe would be the outrageous price tag! - but still worth the investment!"

"Stephen Duffy was done a huge disservice by his record company, who insisted on releasing the tracks from his albums that most closely emulated his first hit (Kiss Me), rather than allowing the public to discover the huge variety in his songwriting. Every song on his two pre-Lilac Time albums (of which this is one) deserves a listen in its own right. Stephen and these albums deserve much wider recognition."
