Synopsis

Product Description
Stan Bush - In This Life (LA Records July 07) Praised as a world-class rock singer, Stan Bush is best known for his song The Touch featured in the Transformers movie. Stan includes The Touch as a bonus track on his U.S. release, as well as Til All Are One , the theme song for the Transformers convention (BotCon) held June 28 July 1. Stan was a featured performer at the convention. Stan s new album In This Life is his 11th studio release and includes songs that have kept to the heart of his style, but at the same time express a contemporary vibe. Produced by Holger Fath, the album is his best ever! Songwriters for the album include Stan, Holger and Curt Cuomo (KISS, EDDIE MONEY), while musicians include drummer Matt Laug (ALICE COOPER, RICHARD MARX, EDDIE MONEY, etc.), Lance Morrison on bass guitar (ALANIS MORRISSETTE, DON HENLEY), and guest appearance by guitarist Rocket Richotte (DAVID LEE ROTH, RICK SPRINGFIELD, STEPPENWOLF). Holger Fath s guitar work, production, arrangements and keyboard programming together with Stan s distinctive vocals, combine to make it a brilliant rock album! Stan sang the title tracks for two Jean-Claude Van Damme films: Kickboxer, and Bloodsport. In 1997, he won an Emmy for the song he co-wrote and performed, Til I Was Loved By You used in the soap opera The Guiding Light. Another of Stan s songs, "Capture the Dream", was featured in the 1996 Olympic Games and aired on NBC. The Touch was used in the original Transformers movie and in Boogie Nights . CD Reviews

AOR Rock Perfection

"This is an excellent album by a highly under appreciated artist from the 80s. If you are a fan of classic rock, this is a must own album for you."
The Stan Bush Comeback That Fans Have Been Waiting For!
Explorator | Los Angeles, CA | 12/16/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The quintessential 80s hard rock anthem pioneer is back in fine form with this inspired release that recaptures the spirit of his earlier work! Seriously, this is the Stan Bush album that we've all been waiting for! 'Shine' was a decent album but this is the full-throttle anthem / ballad LP that proves Stan still has 'The Touch'! This guy deserves more credit for his contribution to the classic 80s sound than many 'musical historians' would have you believe."
Excellent, constantly high quality

"This album has everything you'd like about a rock singer without any of the flaws. I encourage you to preview each song. You won't find "baby, x, "baby" lyrics, repetitive choruses, or any slothful song weighing this album down. Each one is solid, and listening to the album, trying to pick out which ones you're going to put on your favorite playlist was impossible, because each is excellent. The two/three slower paced songs are good too, and listening to the lyrics is easy and satisfying. He made a great decision putting both "The Touch" and Transformers theme on there, not just as great songs to hook fanboys, but really out of respect of where he came from, and his fans, who pushed hard to get this song as free DLC for guitar hero. It's a refreshing compromise between those who can't live down their hit songs and those that are living the past.

Finally, track number 11 was really touching for me, and I will frequently listen to it twice when I get to it on the CD. "Southern Rain" is the highlight of this album lyrically, about finding your own place on tough days. Unfortunately, it is also the song with the only flaw I found. Between lines, you can hear him breathe in A LOT to the point of mild distraction, and the fact that this breathing in is loud, and not toned down at all is very glaring. That, however, is the albums' only flaw, and not enough to sway me from proclaiming "Southern Rain" as the highlight of new songs."
