A largely forgotten name in the Irish Rock and Folk annals, folk-rock outfit Spud formed in Dublin in 1973. A folk group with elements of Americana, Country Rock, British Folk Rock and their own celtic background, they had a strong live following in Europe and the UK. Mixed and produced by Simon Nicol, this is their second Long Player, released after their Cambridge Folk Festival appearance and a tour with Richard and Linda Thompson in late 1975. Featured her ea re electric jigs, exciting rock based arrangements of traditional songs and their own compositions. Ten tracks.
