CD Reviews

The aural mix is the only reason to get it, but worth it.
R. Muehlman | Seattle USA | 04/23/2000
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is a great song, and I can't wait for the Full CD to come out (may 23). The Aural Mix is by far the best, but it's edited (no cuss words), which doesn't screw the whole song, but the thought that this isn't the unedited song is kind of annoying. the crude mix is kind of, well.. crude. the Beats are nice, but the music is kind of edgy and sharp. The same vocals are still there, but they aren't quite as good as they are with the aural mix. Young Thugs - ballad of youth (snippet) is kind of like jay-z, but without the good background music to support it. Schooly D's Song is kind of nice, but it's kind of annoying. If you're going to get this CD, get it for the aural mix. the aural mix is one of the best songs I've seen in a while, and is comparable to the roots."
Great Vocals, Great Rapping...

"I only heard this single by accident when I tuned into MTV late one night. I thought it was GREAT! The female vocalist has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard, and the rapping was intelligent as it was funky. I was well impressed it all, and I LOVED the video, it was so surreal, I mean walking under a tunnel with traffic passing you on both sides, dressed in black and looking like something born from the night? I mean how surreal and eye catching can you get? If this song is anything to by then the album will be the next hottest thing since my mother dropped the extra-throat burning chillies into the salad bowl and forgot to tell us! RED HOT OR WHAT!!!"
