"this industrial/synthpop hybrid LP from the early 80s finally sees the light of day on CD, but I can't help wonder. WHY didn't they put the 12" versions of Metal Dance, High Tension, and Junk Funk (aka: Machine Age Voodoo) as bonus tracks...not to mention the track "Thin Ice" which was removed from the US release of the album originally and replaced with "Seduction." These bonus tracks could have made this an amazing re-release."
This isn't even SPK

"Let's face it, after Ne/H/il died, so did the sound of SPK. I had been warned by my rivethead friend's that this album was not what it appeared to be, but as an adventurous young goth I had to hear it. Unfortunately they were right. The cover and title suggest something of a progression of the sound of their amazing album Leichenschrei. Sadly, that is not the case. Or rather, that is what the case wants you to believe. What we have here is an album packaged and claiming to be something of a legendary industrial band with a very unique sound, but upon listening you find that it really is a mediocre 80's synth-pop album complete with a whiny female vocalist. (In the credits she is listed as BACK UP VOCALIST. However, most of the vocals are done by her) Advised only for fans of mass produced synth-pop bands. Actually no, just go buy Gary Numan's "The Replicas" instead. You will be much happier if you did."
