They employ almost every chord change they can into their little 3 minute pop gems, all the while spewing lyrics so rapidly to the point of exhaustion. They remind me of a saner Of Montreal. Moonwink is a really catchy album and you'd have a hard time finding a singular comparison. I know they've covered Tommy James and the Shondels, but Spinto Band isn't some throwback group. Also, the songs are really layered, which you wouldn't think from first sight. Basically, this is inventive pop music and you ought to give it a try. I found it very refreshing!"
