Synopsis

Album Description
Nothing is known about the life and career of Francesco Spinacino except that he lived approximately 1450-1507, played the lute and composed very capable, interesting and enjoyable music for his instrument. "Intabulation" refers to lute (or keyboard) arrangements of vocal music from the 14th and 16th centuries. "Tablature" is a generic term for early notation systems, before the invention of notes printed on a staff. Italian tablature was distinct from the French and German systems.
