CD Reviews

Completely underrated
12/05/2002
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I love this CD. I think I got it around the time it came out, but didn't get into it 'til much later. But it's been a classic for me. Noone seem to have heard of him or his music and that's a pity. and I've never heardof any other CD by him. Does anyone know if he has more music out, maybe under different name? I carve for more music by him."
Great Debut Album

"I am biased because Allan is a friend. The music speaks for itself. Allan is very talented and I'm glad that he's sharing his talent with everyone. He's been compared to Seal, Terence Trent D'Arby and Lenny K. He's his own person and this album serves to showcase a rising star."
Sovory is extremely gifted and versatile

"It seems this artist has never been given his due. After all, how many new artist can boast of a first release, featuring two songs used on movie soundtracks? Track 3(Did You Mean What You Said) was used in the Wesley Snipes, Robert De Niro thriller;"The Fan." While the very beautiful Track 5(Love Is Still Enough)comes from the critically acclaimed "Jason's Lyric." The romantic musical highlight of that particular soundtrack. Maybe his extremely eclectic styles(rock,r&b, gospel and jazz)were considered too broad for commercial success? But just one listen to the final Track(Sky), helps one to understand why Eric Clapton once refered to this artist as "the best voice to come along in ten years." Expect bigger and better things from Sovory in the near future."
