Soul Sister Sally, an indie band from McDonough, Georgia, releases its debut CD, an EP featuring five original songs, along with a contemporary rendition of the standard "How Marvelous".
Formed in 2006 by Andy Williams (Casting Crowns) and his wife, the funk/fusion sound of Soul Sister Sally is created by Kelly Williams (lead vocals), Nathan Mickler (lead vocals), Darren Buckner (lead guitar), Chris Forslund (bass), Charles King (keyboards), and Andy Williams (percussion).
Co-produced by Trey Roth and Soul Sister Sally, Green Grass is a collection of intimate songs dealing with familiar struggles and hurts. From the jazzy title track to the funky "Perfection", band members reveal their own insecurities and faults in an effort to offer hope for restoration and healing regardless of your circumstances.
