Synopsis

Album Description
Music is a lot like fine tea. It's interesting, stimulating, flavorful . . . yet soothing. In this recording you'll find a collection of songs that relate to tea, played in a style that is as unique as each cup you brew. Here you'll hear a masterful pianist blending many styles into one pleasant, relaxing mix--the perfect accompaniment for morning, afternoon, or evening tea. As Jim Gibson draws on vast pianistic experience, you'll enjoy a mix of classical, jazz, and even new-age approaches. As you hum along, you'll find that Jim's music is "precisely your cup of tea." Here are songs about tea, songs that refer to tea, and songs that set the mood for the perfect cup of tea--all in a quiet, masterful solo piano style.

CD Reviews

Perfect background listening
Mike Payne | Canberra, Australia | 06/24/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I heard this CD playing as background music for an exhibition of over 200 tea-pots - charming, whimsical, clever ... perfect! It would be delightful background for a cuppa, or just for relaxed listening. I'm hoping someone will take the hint I've not-too-subtley dropped and present me with a copy for my birthday soon!!"
Perfect for teatime

"What a pleasure to find this music--actually songs about tea (for the most part, anyway). It is perfect background music--from "I'm a Little Teapot" (which sounds almost classical in places) to "Tea for Two." I'm a real "tea person" and collect a lot of tea things--but I'd like this even if I weren't so tea-oriented.This is unusual music, sort of a blend of different styles, and I just love it."
