"regardless of what Amazon tries to imply, this album is NOT done by Slug of Atmosphere fame... It is a rock album, so please, please, don't make the mistake that numerous others have made unless yuo're interested in trying some new rock music...

If you are into Slug the band, then buy away... It's just not my gig..."
Brilliant (mostly) instrumental heavy riff rock

"Sprouting from the fertile LA scene of the early '90's, Slug chugged through a few 7's and full lengths till they peaked with this last recording that came out right around when they broke-up. This is by far my favorite record of theirs. It's brilliance only hinted at in their early releases. 9 songs in over 70 minutes including a cover of Can's "Oh Yeah" shows the droney, riffy, heavy yet melodic direction that defines this record. All the songs are different though. They're not just edited jams like so many records like this could be, they're each an individual piece unto themselves. The four "man themes" do not seem to have any connection except their name. When there are vocals, they aren't sung so much as yelled, but they're mixed so low mixed so low that it's more like another instrument.

If that sounds like something you might like, I can't recommend this CD enough."
