"With the exception of his columbian hitman this album was rather boring. The ripping off of quotes from the Alcoholic Anonymous Big Book were at first a refreshing blast from what modern music has become, (Namely rap) but this excitement was short lived upon finding out that the artists sport a link to Jagermeister's website on their own. Hrmm.. I think they are trying to catch a seemingly fading market of tattooed still rocking straightXedges. Or maybe, being a hypocrite is acceptable north of the border. Ok.. I must make amends for that last statement. Hehhe..."

Much better than I expected (or how these reviews reflect)

"While I moderately enjoyed "Inches from Mainline", it really was far too nu-metal sounding for my tastes. My expectations for "Metafour" therefore weren't that high. However, after hearing the track "Go" and sucumbing to boredom one day, I decided to give this CD a chance. I really wasn't expecting "Metafour" to be as good as it turned out to be, and its one of the biggest musical surprises of the year for me (beside how surprisingly-awful "St. Anger" is). Granted, the band's sound is not as heavy, but looking beyond that, one can tell that they are much more rounded and better with the sound that they have on this CD. There are still heavy songs here ("Caffiene Love Affair" being the best of the heavier tunes), but the top songs are the ones that are more restrained. "Glass Friend", a song about alcoholism, is the best on the CD. Another excellent track is the single "So Clear", which borders on being a power ballad.I have read reviews below that call this CD "too cliche" in reference to the sound on this CD compared to "Inches...". Apparently not understanding the meaning of the word "cliche", this individual did not realize the "Inches..." was the absolute, pure, be-all-end-all prototypical example of a nu-metal CD. Besides, SinisterFiemd gave Metallica's newest CD 5 stars -- nuff said."
