Synopsis

Album Description
The Skids were one of the most intelligent and talented Post-Punk to emerge during the late '70s 'New Wave' era. Hailing from Scotland, this quartet was led by vocalist Richard Jobson and guitarist Stuart Adamson (later the leader of Big Country) and released a handful of albums and classic singles before splitting up in 1982. Their track, 'The Saints Are Coming' was covered by U2 and Green Day together in 2006. This collection features the best tracks from their four albums including 'Into The Valley', 'Scared To Dance', 'Working For The Yankee Dollar', 'Charade', 'Woman In Winter', 'The Saints Are Coming' and more. CD Reviews

Disappointing Sound Quality
dietermod | Akron, OH United States | 06/04/2008
(1 out of 5 stars)

"Save your money. On content, this gets 5 Stars. It's The Skids of course! But I bought this pricey import of songs I already own specifically because I was expecting a ramp up in sound quality. Its just not there. In fact, in back to back tests it does not sound as good as either the 2003 The Very Best of the Skids or the two disc Greatest Hits of Big Country & The Skids from 2002, both also available as imports."
