Sweet power-pop bliss -- with half the calories!

"Shimmering Beach Boys harmonies + solid toonage = Silver Sun heaven.

One's first Silver Sun experience can be a bit disconcerting because the music is first of all so damn sunny! And then there are those high-tone vocals which come dangerously close to approximating The Chipmunks. But maybe that's what makes it so unique and, ultimately, so addictive.

It would be nice if Amazon could provide at least one song sample here (ahem) because this stuff is so hook-heavy that even one of those pathetically small mp3s would be ample bait for s/he who is fishing for an authentic power-pop punch.

Even if you can only afford a used copy (and I know that's all I can afford!), don't let this one get away. It will provide hours and hours of quality listening pleasure.
