CD Reviews

This is actually one of their better albums

"Though Silk's self-titled album went gold, it was considered a disappointment for fans who still wanted that "freak me, baby" flavor. So for those fans, the only song that really gets to that level, "I Can Go Deep" (from "A Low Down Dirty Shame" OST), is perfect baby-making music. But I actually like it when they DON'T talk about making love, like on the incredible ballads, "It's So Good", "Because of Your Love", "What Kind of Love is This" and especially the Gerald Levert-penned "Don't Go to Bed Mad". Add this to your Silk, and R&B, collection."
A Hidden Gem

"The follow-up release to Lose Control, this CD is actually better than the first! Several gems like "Don't Rush", "Don't Go TO Bed Mad", and "Because of Your Love" make this the perfect CD for romantics."
11 well written adn sung tracks are why you should buy it

"In stark contrast to their first cd, Silk uses beautiful love ballads to showcase their vocal talent. The only song that even resembles the "old" Silk is "I can go deep", which is from the "Low Down Dirty Shame" soundtrack and really doesn't fit in with the rest of the songs. The songs are very powerful and heartfelt and you will find yourself singing them or at least relating to them. The lyric evoke emotions from the listener and this proves that the group has grown up. Silk has traded flash for substance and the result is success. Why this album wasn't well recieved I do not know. But, I do no that this record proves Silk belongs at the top of today's R&B groups."
