CD Reviews

This is true Hardcore!!!!

"You people who are listening to all those other pop bands need to grow up and listen to the words, not if it has a catchy tune or not. The lyrics are down to earth and they have something to say. Give it a try and if your truly hardcore you'll like it"
Putting " Blood Sweat and No tears" to rest.

"This was where Sick Of It All started evolving into the band we're more familiar with now. Longer songs and lyrics with more depth are prominent throughout this album. Definitely not Sick Of It Alls best effort as far as production is concerned but the power of this album more than makes up for it's lack of production but then again, maybe they just wanted it to be that way. Either way when it's all said and done you have an album that from start to finish makes you think and relate to the lyrics while imagining yourself at one of their shows dancin like a maniac to songs like Locomotive, What's goin on, We Stand Alone and of course the title track, Just Look Around. If you want to hear the album that Made Sick Of It All who they are as a band today, this is the album to buy. What came after this album just made them that much better. Check out the follow up Cd SCRATCH THE SURFACE as well."
Put all my fears to rest

"When this album came out NY hardcore was dying. AF was about to break up, SOIA had put out the 7" "We Stand Alone" with a new lineup and the sound just wasn't there. Then "Just Look Around" came out and I knew that this band was the true great NYHC band. From beginning to end, every track on this album is great... From "We Just Want the Truth" until "Indust." I still listen to this album straight through without skipping a single track. Buy this album, and listen. You just might learn something"
