CD Reviews

One of the best bands I've ever seen live.

"A few years ago I went to see a basement show in gadsden, alabama. there was a friend's band playing and with them, shyster. I had never heard of them. My friends band played first. They were really good. But no match to what I witnessed next. I still can remember vivid images of the singer/guitarist on the tip of his toes spilling out all his anger and emotion in the most melodic way possible. Still to this day I don't believe I've ever seen such an intense live show. Shyster. Too bad they aren't still together."

"I have seen this band more than twenty times yes twenty and every show was like the first one when they open up for Face to Face(when they were good)at a club called "Club Nowhere" in Orlando. They were just an opening band who blew everyone away and ever since then there is not a day that goes by when Velvet, Say Uncle or Feburary is piercing my ears. The best punk band that anyone will ever hear. Jacksonville Florida out, Long Live Johnny B's."
The classic

"this band, and this release in particular, reminds you of the emotional power punk rock can have. no punk or emo band-- including jawbreaker or naked raygun-- have written as powerful a song as "follow." the guitars are relentless and driving. the vocal bellowing is reminescent of husker du in top form. (and for those of you who like some power-pop in their punk, "homecoming," shyster's best known sing-along single's on here too.) say uncle is an essential document of the band's original line-up. still, no recording has yet captured this band's live presence."
