It's a real treat to hear the composer playing his own music with such conviction, and these concluding pieces from the series of Preludes and Fugues are the weightiest and most affecting. If you don't already know the music, this disc is a highly recommended introduction to it. If you do, you will be fascinated to hear the composer's own performances.
