Synopsis

Album Description
WAILING WALL is a collection of 13 songs that cry out against the walls of arrogance, hatred, fear and despair that people discover, erect and maintain in their lives. It is the singing out of a planet in travail: the voice of the world's suffering children and the voice of the abused, neglected and starving child inside each of us. This is "geist" music, the music of the Spirit of the Earth.

THIS LADY WAS MY MUSIC TEACHER IN 4TH GRADE
Maria | Somewhere USA | 03/02/2005
(1 out of 5 stars)

"THIS LADY WAS MY MUSIC TEACHER IN 4TH GRADE! I remember how she always wanted to be a star. During our Christmas concert, the students sang the chorus part on one or two songs, while she was in the spotlight singing her depressing songs about little dying children. She used to talk to this little tiny green elf-on-a-stick, and when we were talking during class, she would say to it: "Oh Charlie Green, these kids aren't listening to me." She used ropes as belts. We had to do "diaphragm excercises." She made us dress up like trees and sing her depressing "Somewhere in the Night" song in class (just for the record, it made two people cry!). She later was fired because too many people complained about her.

This lyrical genious came up with the following song for one of our school concerts:

"On my bed I sleepy down, Hill an' gully.

While I dream of green valley down, hill an' gully.

Ain't no one to waken me down, hill an' gully.

Oh my wife she is callin' down, hill an' gully.

And I rise and go to window down, hill an' gully.

As I feel my head a poundin' down, hill an' gully.

That's the last I set down, hill an' gully.

Pray the lord don't let me down, hill an' gully.

An' I run till daylight breakin' down, hill an' gully."

I personally do not enjoy SHIRLANN's music, mostly because of the bad memories I have of it's creator. But you may waste your money on the album if you wish."

"I was in 3rd grade when she was my music teacher at school. We were all wondering where she went after she was fired. WE FOUND HER NOW! She put her belt up soooo high...and used too much eye-shadow. THE BELTS WERE KILLERS! Even though we had bad memories, her music is ok. I am not a big fan of tekno funk. It sounds cool.

BUY IT IF YOU LIKE! :-)"
