There is rock, there is cabaret, there is pop, there is much more here too...and it all sounds good. A very smart band, with the guts and know how to have a very creative take on both music and lyrics and still come up with a great-sounding product. Great male and female vocalists, backed mainly by a piano and cello, but with numerous other instruments thrown into the mix whenever they are needed. This EP is a touch short at 5 songs, only 3 of them being fully recorded and mastered songs (the other two being an instrumental and a 'demo'), which screams 'this is all we can afford right now'. But those 3 are all keepers and deserve a spin on your player. I've had it for about 6 months and still play it regularly." |
