Fiona Apple She's Not... But One of the Best!

"At first glance, I was convinced I was listening to a new Leah Andreone CD. However, I was not. Her innunciation, vocalization and key signature was everything Andreone wished she could be. Their voices are an identical match by pitch, tone and heart. However, something flows from Shea which is extra icing on the cake - talent, poise & soul.Where Leah Andreone falls flat with predictable lyrics and pretentious ballads, Shea overcomes with heart-wrenching pop tunes quite similar to the guts and glistening rock of Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Nelly Furtado and Aimee Mann. The words grip you, the tones & tunes sway you - the meaning moves you. This girl is here to stay.I was always taught that "Music is organized tones and pitches that are pleasant to the ear" ...... There is nothing more pleasant, comforting or joyous than a fresh new voice like Shea's. I remember years ago when Fiona Apple hit the circuit - and it was magik. Music had a new voice. She was different. Special. Encompassing. I remember years before when people thought Tori Amos was a brand of bong sold at head shops. Little did the public know she would become a folk rock icon, a voice for women - and men - the world throughout. This is the impact of Shea's music. Heartfelt, meaningful, poignant - pure poetry. If you are a fan of music that means something, has a soul & gut, demands attention - you will enjoy Shea's music as much as I do.Don't forget to check ... ... ...Be Sweet,Alfred Romo ...follow your eyes..."
Far superior to anything in the Top 40...

"Shea Seger's debut is a refreshing and original mix of pop/rock, country-infused, alternative originality. Thought provoking, actually intelligent, lyrics are ingeniously married to a absolutely infectious wall of harmonies and rythmic beats. A classy first-time outing that won't disappoint. My vote for best recent new female artist anytime and anywhere."
Hooray for intelligent pop

"I got this album without having ever heard of it, or having a clue what it might be. And I was treated to the best sort of surprise. Seger's album is full of intense but highly listenable tunes, a pop sound with an alternative edge. This sounds fantastic. It's a really refreshing album, being one of the current crop (Dot Allison, Anni DiFranco) to reinvigorate this style."
