Like Reading A Book

"This CD is so amazing; it's like reading a book. The story unfolds itself from chapter to chapter, song to song. The tunes are very catchy with the horns and wurlitzer in the background, but Shannon shines with her strong guitar style and heartfelt voice. Her lyrics make you think and are not just handouts like most of today's pop. They are sung with utter feeling, as well. Different from the first album, but still worth checking out. You won't regret it; it's one of my top 5 CDs."
She's done MUCH better

"Shannon has an amazing voice, but this album absolutely pales in comparison to her first (and much harder to find) album "Three Wishes." Now "Three Wishes" is an album that I would give 5 stars. It's fairly mellow, but has much, much more substance to it than Moviegoer. If you're new to Shannon, definitely check out "Three Wishes" before even touching this one. Also checkout her effort with longtime friend Kristin Asbury under the band name September 67 (the only made one album before they disbanded). That is another 5 star album and much more upbeat and electric than "Three Wishes.""
Mood Setting

"This album sets a mood for the listener. It is suttle and beautiful. If you are a fan of Shawn Colvin then there is no reason not to pick up a copy of Ms. Worrell's album because she hauntingly sounds like a carbon copy of Shawn Colvin. If you are in the mood for a easy listening sound then this is the album to pick up and settle down with."
