Parsons | Nevada City, CA | 05/14/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Simon Fisher Turner is a great sound-artist, (and actual teen-idol, and multifaceted musical multiple-personality) this 16 track collage of songs, spoken text, "atmospheres and found sounds", jazz, drone, string quartet and pure sound is among his finer achievements. Vocals by Martyn Bates (Eyeless In Gaza) and Gina Birch (The Raincoats) and SFT hisself. Spoken stuff by Quentin Stevenson and Nasia Hadin. Gina also contributes bass, Kate St. John plays cor anglais and tenor sax, and Bruce Gilbert (Wire) plays frequency loops. It's all quite psychedelic hallucinatory mind movie music, colorful, vivid and full of details. "You could get lost in it." Shifting sifting worlds of sound, overheard haunting fragmentary dream-logical flow."
