CD Reviews

A CD album for all ages.

"If you are 3 years old or 103 chances are you're going to love this CD. The mix of guitar and vocals performed by just 2 people is incredible. Bob Harris and Lucy Clark have created an album that sounds like today and the 1950's at the same time. If you wonder why Bob Harris was named Greatest Acoustic Guitar Player in the World by Guitar Player magazine listen to Limehouse Blues. You'll wonder no more. There is intricate guitar work throughout this album that brings you back to the sounds of Les Paul and Mary Ford. The vocals performed by Lucy Clark are pure and white as snow. She is definitly the Mary Ford half of this duo. Her vocal mixes on Mr. Sandman will attest to that. Lucy's vocals are exceptional on the entire CD. I especially enjoyed the Tennessee Waltz. As you listen to this CD you'll probably find yourself dancing and singing along with it. So many CD's are a disappointment when you play them. Your lucky if you find 3 or 4 songs you like on them. I truly enjoyed every song on Sentimental Reasons. I look forward to their next CD. Buy this one. You'll be glad you did."
A Flood of Memories

"What a great journey into yesteryear! "Sentimental Reasons" is a wonderful CD bringing back so many memories with songs that Les Paul and Mary Ford made famous. Lucy Clark has a wonderful voice that brings the songs to life while blending in with the excellent guitar work of Bob Harris. This is the first time that we have had the pleasure of hearing Lucy sing but I am sure it won't be the last. Bob Harris is another story. We had the pleasure of hearing him play the guitar and banjo when he was playing in a bluegrass band in New Jersey many years ago. At that time he was about 18 years old. Even at that young age we considered him the best young "flat-picking" guitarist we had ever heard. Now Bob has "broadened his horizons" with this CD which shows what a great instrumentalist he has become.Great work Harris and Clark! We will look forward to your next CD!"

"The album, Sentimental Reasons, is an excellant tribute to the ever great Les Paul and Mary Ford Duo. It is a pleasing combination of similarites of the original, yet with a very distinct style of their own. I am especially impressed with Bye Bye Blues, Limehouse Blues, Sentimental Reasons, and Alabmy Bound. It is so refreshing to hear a guitar player with such origanality, add to this the beautiful, clear, voice of Lucy Harris and you definitely have a 'winning combination'."
