"Mick Collins is the best singer in the world - bar NONE! Here he's teamed up with former Red Aunts member Terri Wahl to make a raunchy, bluesy racket. I dug their first album, but this is MILES beyond that. Sounds like a Fat Possum release when Fat Possum still made good records. You need this."

"Having found a VINYL copy of this record for $8.99 I decided that if I ever met Mick Collins (The Dirtbombs, Gories, Blacktop) he would have to sign it as a rite of my musical passage.
Well, I went to see The Dirtbombs in Columbus, Ohio in 2006 and spotted Mick walking into a headshop called The Joint on High Street. I assure you, I couldn't dream up and write better ironies than that.
Mick looked suprised when I presented this album to him. I gave him ups on the John Lee Hooker song they covered which prompted him to tell me the backstory about recording this near garage/punk/blues masterpeice:
The Screws were mainly based in L.A. and already having one album under their belts "12 Hate-Filled Classics", the group decided to make another for In The Red Records. Only this time, the rest of the band picked out the tracks and pre-recorded much of the music. Mick Collins was then flown in to overlay his guitar and voice. He implyed that the album had a synthetic feel and was not an entire group effort. For that reason I give it 4 out of five.
