CD Reviews

Es fantastique!

"Sarah Jane is an unbelievably talented up-and- coming jazz artist. She brings a fresh new sound to the world of New York jazz. Her riffs are transformational and exquisite - her powerful, fluid sound breaths life into the most standard of standards. Check out "Stay the Same" and try not to get weepy. We'll definitely be hearing much more from this artist in the next decades!"

"Simply put, Sarah Jane Cion is a brilliant pianist. This CD has not been back in the case since I bought it. Her playing is fluid, soulful, energetic and original. There is not a bad track on the disc. She is assisted by some amazing guest musicians, namely Antonio Hart on sax, Tony Reedus on drums, and a tremendous vocal performance by Carolyn Leonhart whose haunting voice enhances "Stay The Same" - a song which highlights Cion's wonderful lyricism.Sarah Jane Cion is very talented - if you love jazz, or even simply like it, you will enjoy this CD."
Talent From Boston Mass.

"I was looking for the talent of a new, and preferably local, Boston jazz musician when purchasing this CD. Finding out that Sarah Jane graduated from Boston's New England Conservatory of Music in Jazz, I couldn't help but buy it. I am most pleased with my decision. I truly look upon the purchase as a worth-while investment. Sarah Jane is one who truly puts her heart into her work and it can be heard, felt, and for those fortunate enough in N.Y., seen as well. "Moon Song" is another recording in which this jazz artist has improvized with excellence."
