Santiago leads one of the most widely traveled conjuntos today. Coming from the West Side of San Antonio, he has gone beyond merely following in the footsteps of his father (one of the originators of the Tex-Mex style) and his well-known brother, Flaco. Whether it's touring the Soviet Union or playing his two-row button accordion to the enthusiastic crowds at San Antonio's Tejano Conjunto Festival, Santiago presents driving conjunto music with pure and traditional force.
