Synopsis

Album Description
After helping to pave the way for the old school metal revival, RUMPELSTILTSKIN GRINDER does more than just rehash thrash on 'Living For Death, Destroying The Rest;' rather, the band's sophomore release transcends mere nostalgia as it ushers Speed Metal, kicking and screaming, into the new millennium at last. What separates the Philly foursome from the rest is not the precise riffing, raging solos, or the pummeling percussion; rather, it's the attitude, one as contagious as the songs themselves.

CD Reviews

Great follow-up to "Backyard"
Eric Blair | 04/26/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This band catches a lot of heat from Metal fans but as a die-hard rivethead I can say that RsG are one of the most unique Metal bands out there. With the majority of their sound being influenced by traditional Thrash, they might come off as riding the wave of new so called Thrash bands. However, they have their own style in a visual, musical and lyrical way. The sound is very heavy but does not come off like the band takes themselves too seriously. This is a CD I can put on when I'm partying and even people who hate Metal get into it. It's fast, heavy and damn entertaining. This album and their full-length debut Buried in the Back Yard... are getting heavy rotation in my stereo."
