Product DescriptionTrumpet/cornet player Ruby Braff and pianist Dick Hyman are two of the biggest names in classic jazz. Continuing in the tradition of such giants as Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Fats Waller and Duke Ellington, the two have each been playing for over 50 years. Braff began playing at Boston-area clubs in the 1940s and has since played with the likes of Scott Hamilton, Dave McKenna and George Wein. Hyman is known for his versatility as a musician, having worked as a pianist, organist, arranger, music director and composer over the course of his career. At this historic 1983 concert, as part of the Paul Weinstein Concert Series at New York's New School, the duo plays through several George Gershwin standards as well as an arrangement of Tschaikowsky's Swan Lake, among others.
