Recorded a year after Mancini's death Campbell says" I could feel the spirit of Mancini in the studio with me when I recorded this CD". "Of the 20 CD's I have produced this is my all time favorite. It's a very special CD to me" Campbell adds. The support of world-class musicians help make this a special CD. Bruce Barth is currently the pianist for legendary vocalist Tony Bennett. Bassist Bill Moring and drummer Terry Clarke have toured and recorded with many of the greats of the jazz idiom Royce Campbell has produced a number of CD's which feature him in the company of many of the greats of the jazz guitar, including legendary guitarists Herb Ellis, Tal Farlow, Jimmy Raney, and Cal Collins, Pat Martino, John Abercrombie, Larry Coryell, Dave Stryker and Bucky Pizzarelli. His latest project for Paddlewheel, Project G-5, A Tribute to Joe Pass, includes Charlie Byrd, Gene Bertoncini, Mundel Lowe, and John Pisano. A Tribute To Henry Mancini, on Episode Records, is one of Royce's personal favorites.
