A leading figure from the original Chicago House Music scene, Roy Davis, Jr. is currently one of the most sought-after producers in the nu-soul and dance music scenes. He has performed at thousands of events around the world as both headlining DJ and as part of his live nine-piece band Roy Davis Jr. & The Soldiers of Universal Love (S.O.U.L). Water For Thirsty Children is without question some of the best work Roy Davis Jr. has released to date. His recent remix for England?s Seal on the track, "Get It Together" went to #1 for two weeks in a row on the U.S. Billboard dance charts in September 2003. No stranger to the top of the charts, Roy?s remixes for Modjo?s "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)" also reached #1 in 2001, and Roy?s own genre-defining 2-step track from 1997 "Gabrielle" was in nearly every international dance magazine?s top 10 of the year.
