Synopsis

Album Description
New Wave, Punk Rock 'n Soul. This all female Rock 'n Roll outfit took form at the end of the 20th century in a small, rainy town in the Great Northwest. Seattle, Washington. Rotten Apples are sweet and street, bratty and bold, commanding your attention at every interval. Bridge the gap between all your favs from '77 and the quirky determination in '87, and layer it with a sultry rasp and simple harmonies... Ladies and Gentlemen: the Rotten Apples. Compared to the likes of Elastica, Blondie, The Muffs, and even The Jim Carroll Band their sound is timeless yet unique and all their own. Live, the Rotten Apples deliver an indescribable catch, understated in its simplicity and undeniable in its dimension. Non-stop balls out fun!

CD Reviews

Soulful but rocking!
Ulrich Teichert | Neumünster, SH Germany | 11/25/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"What a great (but rather short) album. The soulish front
voice together with the rest of the band made me jump up
immediately. All killer tracks, no fillers. The only band
coming close at the moment is The Bellrays ('cause the voices
of the lead singers are similar), but the style is more up-tempo
rocking. Enough, I need to turn it on LOUD again,Uli"
