Hidden away in strange carvings on the arches of Rosslyn Chapel, Edinburgh (immortalised in "The Da Vinci Code") is the cymatic notation of an ancient hyymn, possibly coded by members of a cult of John the Baptist linked to the origianl (real) Knights Templar. Not quite what I expected...however

"I read about the Rosslyn Chapel (http://www.rosslynchapel.org.uk/) and its newly-deciphered music (http://www.tjmitchell.com/stuart/rosslyn.html)... and was expecting more "angelic" (and perhaps more "processed") sounding music. The recordings seem somewhat "raw" as I believe they were recorded IN the Rosslyn Chapel.

I think my having reviewed the T. J. Mitchell website (before the purchase) led me to believe that since a somewhat odd method was used to decipher some of the carvings in The Rosslyn Chapel..I was expecting a more elaborate "delivery" (so to speak); as it stands, the recordings seem simple (personal opinion).

It's a good cd, nevertheless."
