"Rondinelli are the brothers Bobby on drums (ex Rainbow) and Teddy on guitar, Tony Martin - vocals (ex Black Sabbath) and bass player Neil Murray (ex Whitesnake). Of course these guys have been around a while and played in other bands than mentioned above.The album is good old fashion melodic heavy rock/metal, but has a kind of up-to-date approach. Most of the songs are well written and well played and singer Tony Martin is doing his part as good as he always does. The best songs are: "Naughty Dragon" - an excellent example of good traditional heavy rock in same vein as Black Sabbath's "Annu Mundi", "Dawn" with it's melodic guitar sling, "The meaning of evil" and "In the midnight hour". The rest of the songs aren't bad in any way but those mentioned above are more or less superb.If you're not aware of the albums Tony Martin have done together with guitar player Dario Mollo (The cage I, The cage II), I suggest you check them out. If you've heard them, then you get an idea of what to expect from Rondinelli."

Tony's Voice Hits the Mark

"If you're like me, you spend a lot of time trying to keep up with Tony Martin since he left Black Sabbath. Tony wasn't just another in a long line of replacements for Ozzy and Dio--Tony was his own man in Sabbath (check out Headless Cross and deny he owned that album if you can). Anyway, it seems as if a lot of bands since Sabbath have wanted to use his great vocal talents (Cage, Empire, etc.), and while all of those albums are must-haves for Tony Martin's fans (I'm certainly glad to have them), none of those projects seemed to gel in the way that this one with the Rondinelli brothers has. Plain and simply, this is a great album--not as heavy or dark as Headless Cross, but just enough crunch to remind you that the bark of this band comes with a potent bite. Tony's exceptional vocal talent finds itelf amongst the musical efforts here, and the result reminds me of how his voice meshed with Black Sabbath into the awesome melodies of Tyr. Buy this recording, and you won't be disappointed. Tony's other exceptional work is his solo CD, Back Where I Belong--get that one, too, and check out Tony's phenomenal work on Giuntini Project 2--the closest thing to his work with Sabbath. This guy deserves to have a band to call home...perhaps Rondinelli or Giuntini could be it, or just go solo, Tony. Either way, I'll keep tracking your recordings and buying each one. Rock on! Oh, it did take a long time to get this from Amazon (we're talking a few months), but it was definitely worth the wait."
