"Bassist Roland Guerin has done it again! The songs are well written, the melodies are memorable, and the technique displayed here is tremendous. The band on this CD: Roland Guerin - bass, John Ellis, Brice Winston, and Derek Douget - sax, Peter Martin - piano, and Jason Marsalis - drums, sound like they have been playing together for years. Guerin's slap bass technique is well displayed on "Slap Happy", while his custom six string bass sings out on "You Don't Have to See It to Believe It." This is definitely a happy, car bouncin', head boppin' CD that everyone should add to their jazz collection!"
