Never got to see him in person but I never pass up anything associated with him. Get all the official Little Feat CDs (including their excellent and neglected post-Lowell George releases) and Thanks I'll Eat It Here before you get this, but get this anyway! It shows off George's brilliant songwriting in the hands of very sympathetic interpreters. I understand a Japanese version features Dr. John and others and includes the signature song Dixie Chicken, but you won't miss it. (There are plenty of covers of that one out there anyway.)" Not just a great sounding band, but an innovative band playing some really great music. We know what Little Feat is without Lowell, but how is Lowell without Little Feat? This album is the answer. Bonnie Raitt is, as always, a phenom. Allen Toussaint, Randy Newman, and Jackson Browne, do what they do best. And I even liked Eddie Money's 'Rock-n-Roll Doctor.' But perhaps the greatest tribute was made buy the most obvious people. A short yet true story...I had just bought the album, and was listening to it while engaged in some other activities, when along comes song # 11. It starts up with as funky a drum fill as you could ask for, then proceeds to blow my sox off! This was as funky a band as I had ever heard. I ran to the album credits, and looked up song # 11 to see who this undiscovered golioth could possibly be. the song...Honest Man, performed by...non other than Little Feat! The Feat is awsome, and Lowell George is Little Feat. Buy this album."
