"This is great music. Absoultely the best blues CD you can find. Best when heard through good speakers, not headphones."
No Stranger to the Blues

"With a mix of originals and cover versions, Robert Lucas goes out to show what the blues is all about, and you'd be hard pressed to find a better display than this one. It's a rare event to find a recording that captures the essence of blues so well.Although both versions of this album feature excellent hi-fi sound, this JVC-XRCD version is an audiophile's delight, and is well worth the extra cost."

"This has got to be the best Blues album I have heard.... ever. Back in the late eighties my wife and I were regular customers at Cagneys in Huntington Beach California where Luke and the Locomotives regularly played, the place was always packed.......Just wish I knew where they were now."
