"Released in the summer of 2001, this is Rob Lamothe's finest studio effort to date. Hopefully, only to be eclipsed by his upcoming release this August. From the opening riff of the storyteller "River of My Life" to the closing notes of the heartwarming "When I am Cold" you will be completely mesmerized but Rob's unbelievable voice. Like a riveting novel you just cant put down, you will be hooked as this disc smoothly progresses through each track. Along with several of his fellow Hamilton, Ontario musicians, Rob puts together a fantastic mix of acoustic and electric based folk music with each track having its own special vibe. If you are familiar with his music, do not pass this up. If you are not, get familiar with it now and never look back. Hopefully once you hear this cd, you will be like me and wonder why Rob Lamothe is not a permanent fixture on the worldwide music charts..."

"Having discovered rob through his last album 'being human'i quickly snapped this up on release and amazingly its better, tracks like 'the river of my life','raymond' and 'edge of the world' come straight from the soul and consequently will touch yours, other tracks 'cup of tea' and my achillies heart' keep the album at an even flow throughout. just waiting on his latest release popping through the door but 'wishing well motel' will be a hard disc to better."
