"Brutal" and "Savage" are words I believe are often used when describing it, and frankly, I was expecting to be driven almost insane when I listened to it. I mean, how could be a work that's said to have foreshadowed the carnage of World War One have anything less than a devestating effect on your soul?
Well, don't believe the hype. I'm still here and standing. Phrew! As far as the performances on this particular disc are concerned, well, I'm a product of the American educational system. You think I have any clue?" |
