"You know the feeling of waking up from a dream, not a nightmare but certainly something on the edge of Bizarre? Listening to "Time for Peace" - the new album of the very popular Israeli mega Diva gave me that same feeling. After a few very successful albums in Hebrew, one total flop in English (about 10 years ago) Rita is trying to come back and break through Internationally with a new CD. Don't get me wrong, I liked the album, but I don't think Rita did.... It sounds like she is struggling in a style that she doesn't feel very comfortable in. Except for the title song, and "Hachnisini" - a song presented in her first album, and maybe a few more, she is trying out a whole new image, which in my opinion, is not the direction she should be going at. The beloved Rita is the wild, sexy and passionate one, not the cold lady singing here. The songs are great, Rita is great, and it would be perfect if the producer would let her run free and show the world what she really knows. One more note for the end: Why bother remaking songs anyway if you are not going to make it sound different ?"
