CD Reviews

The JBO
Thomas A. Gallagher | New Jersey, U.S.A. | 06/10/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is a great second CD by this band who also released a recording titled "Prelude To Sun" under the name "The JBO" (The Jeremy Barber Orchestra) led by their star electric guitarist/violinist. This CD has something for everyone, if you like heavy progressive rock with an emphasis on "rock" then buy this CD, crank it up and smile!

Please read the other review by "a music fan" as it tells you about the great drummer & vocalist this group employs and is quite on the money in descrbing the music on this CD which is also right on! Get it now!"
THIS ALBUM RIVALS ANY THAT HAVE BEEN RELEASED IN 15 YEARS
Thomas A. Gallagher | 11/20/1998
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album features Kofi Baker, son of the legendary drummer, Ginger Baker(formerly of Cream), as well as Jeffery Leonetti on vocals. If I am honest, I must admit that Leonetti has one of the most distinct and versital voices in the music industry today. I have been photographing between 150-200 bands a year for the last handfull of years, and have a great ear for music, as do all the lovely people I associate myself with and we all agree, this band might very well be the gratest band to emerge in the U.S. in the last ten years. They have a psychedelic hard edged sound with lyrics that rival that of Jim Morrison. Between Kofi Bakers intense, and technical polyrythmic style on drums, and Jeff's amazing range on vocals they can and will be selling out stadiums everywhere in the near future. If you like Soundgarden or Janes Addiction or Maceo Parker or The Grateful Dead, you'll love these guys. That's how great they are, little bits and peices of funk, hardcore, psychedelia, and their own little clever touches complete this album and make it pure genius. Anyone whose into any form of good music will appreciate the talent and hard work they have laid out for this album. That's whats scary, They're that good and we havent even talked about the talent on bass and guitar. I'll just leave it up to you to check it all out for yourselves. W O W !!! GO BUY IT!!!"
