Synopsis

Album Description
Co-produced by David Kosten (Bat For Lashes) and Ant Whiting (MIA / Zero 7), The Animal has already received acrossthe- board praise from the UK press, earning comparisons to Jeff Buckley and Antony and the Johnsons, among others. Recently opening for The Cranberries at Royal Albert Hall, Walters' has also shared the stage with such distinguished artists as the Dave Matthews Band, Grant Lee Phillips and Imogen Heap. The Animal is a collection of beautiful piano and guitar ballads adorned with a hint of strings to which Walters' lends his angelic, gentle falsetto. The Animal tackles such serious subject matters as love and loss, domestic abuse (from the point of view of the abuser), addiction and epilepsy. Walters is not a stranger to U.S. audiences. Some may be familiar with him through the massively popular TV show, So You Think You Can Dance. Season 6 runner-up Jakob Karr hand-picked Walters' song, "elephant in the Room" for his auditions, moving each judge to tears. The video of the audition spawned a viral YouTube sensation compelling budding dancers across the world to videotape themselves dancing to the same tune. In addition, hit crime-scene drama, CSI: Miami, used his song "All at Sea" on a recent episode.
