"In my view Rey Casas is perhaps the most versatile latin pianist today. I have bought every CD he has published and find that he plays at a level which is a blend of outstanding technique when required to do so, and "pure heart and soul" that makes a difference.In the 1980s as a young man Rey Casas began to demonstrate his unique talent as a producer-arranger not only producing excellent Cuban music but also international semi classic music that reached symphonic levels worthy of being played by the top symphony orchestras.I haven't seen Rey in almost twenty years, but back in the 80s I had the privilege as a composer of working with him at Sound Booth recording studio in Miami, and was highly impressed with his unique talent. The final result was outstanding due in great part to his unique capabilities as an orchestrator.As said before, I have bought every Rey Casas CD, and will continue to do so in the future."
