"There is a lucid way to explain the various meanings attached to the word "dub," but the reviewer above has not found it. Dub in the sense attached to this album refers to a style of music that is an outgrowth: instead of heavy remixing of existing songs, you get songs that are heavily remixed versions of themselves. This album is full of outstanding ones -- great production, killer playing, which many techno-dub-type albums have, and very good songs, too (which not so many have). If five stars means -- buy this album without hesitation because it is very good, then the five stars are warranted. Heavy bass, but lively and fastmoving; if you get seasick from lots of swooping, swooshing keyboard lines, may not be your cup of dramamine. Otherwise, please buy, enjoy, and support the On-U Sound System, who have made many great albums and sold all too few copies of them."
