"I was looking for several years to get in touch with Resian music. It was almost impossible the last know LP record was published in 1973. Resia is a small walley in Italy. It has only few residents - less than 100 who are speaking an old version of slavic language. They have also their own culture and music cult. They play strings - violinas on a different way. They suport violinas with their bellies and not with neck. When they are playing violinas, they are using a foot to produce rythem. The sound of their music is powerful and optimistic. Their string music is similar to music from Bretagne or Ireland.This CD represent a complet overview of Resian musical heretagie.
