"Coming off like the queerest hybrid of vintage X and Bettie Serveert's velvet loneliness, with enough Terminals sound to keep my mind off the fact that there aren't enough Terminals records out there, this is another killer of a record from the Crooks that steals brain cells. But its only a joyride. Everything you put into liking this record will come back to you. If you like the Carter family, but think alternacuntry is phonier than the Nashville crap they boho, this is a great authentic, rock album for you."

"This is good stuff. If you've never heard of the Renderers before, you are really missing out. If you ever have those days when you are feeling sorry for yourself, this is the perfect music to wallow in. The sound is dark, as are the lyrics. They have kind of a unique sound that sounds like it's being recorded in your basement, which is usually where I go to hide when I'm feeling blue."
