Synopsis

Product Description
RED WANTING BLUE has been called the hardest working rock band in America. This isn't surprising considering leader Scott Terry's decade-long dedication to the road. His songs about its trials, sung in a remarkable radio-ready baritone, are backed by his expert band's shimmering new-classic rock sound. Twelve of these tunes comprise this Columbus, Ohiobased band's first official label release. These Magnificent Miles was written on the road and is about life on the road. Produced by Jamie Candiloro (Ryan Adams, Willie Nelson, REM) in Columbus and mixed in Los Angeles, the album captures the feel and sound of RED WANTING BLUE live -- an addictive show that has earned the band a loyal following which stomps, cheers and sings along. It's an album for all of the musicians who live this way of life and it lifts the veil on what it means to be an underdog in a touring rock band. This story is now the subject of a feature-length documentary about RED WANTING BLUE being produced by Davenport Theatrical (Avenue Q, Will Ferrell's You're Welcome America, Altar Boyz) that draws its focus on the band's tireless stamina and dedication. "There is a romance to this circus life," Terry says. "With a little luck, and a lot of support from the greatest fans a band could have, we hope to ride this open road like a hammer into history."

CD Reviews

Amazing music you will listen to over and over again!
Darren A. Stauffer | Washington, DC | 07/27/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"These guys are awesome! You will find yourself singing along to all of the songs after you have heard the CD once. RWB plays the type of music that is relatable, authentic, and simply inspiring to hear. The vocals are superb as are the drums, guitar, and other instrumentals. You will literally listen to the CD over and over again and it is the same genuinely uplifting experience each and every time. Do yourself a favor and check this album out. AND, if you ever get the chance, these guys sound just as good live as they do on the CD if not better; I promise you will never see a band that puts more passion in to their music than Red Wanting Blue."
Amazing Album!

"This album is absolutely unbelievable. Start to finish there is not a bad song on the disc. It is so well balanced. Love songs, songs about the trials and tribulations of an up and coming music group, plus some good old fashioned up-tempo rock songs. The album really tells a story from beginning to end. The bonus track at the end of the disc is well worth the few minutes of silence. Overall, the musicianship is superb, and the album is extremely well made for the band being without label support when the disc was recorded. Lyrically these guys are in a class of their own. Easily the best written album I own, hands down. So worth the money!"
